Vampire Prince Series
CHARACTER(S): Vincent Solaire, Adam
LISTENER: “Lovely”
PLACEMENT: Vampire Prince, Episode 3
RUNTIME: 18:00
WARNINGS: [non-consensual hypnotizing][objectification]
OVERVIEW
The listener goes to Wonderworld at night, despite Vincent’s warnings, in search of him. Instead of finding him, they are found by Adam, another Vampire in the Clan. Adam immediately Trances the listener upon running into them, which is achieved by establishing eye-contact with them. He mocks the listener’s lack of knowledge of how Trancing works, remarking that he would’ve expected Vincent to have done it to them by now, and that his lack of having done so is his loss.
Adam continues to objectify the listener, calling them a bloodbag and mentioning their racing pulse and appealing scent. He reveals that he was one of the other Vampires in the park the night prior, and that he saw and heard their entire exchange with Vincent, and subsequently mocks them for not having followed Vincent’s advice to avoid the park at night. Adam then attempts to convince the listener that Vincent holds little standing in the pack and that no one has any reason to respect his claim on them, given that he hasn’t marked them as his own. Adam continues to mock the listener as he prepares to bite them and stake his own claim.
Before he can do so, Vincent appears and knocks him away. Vincent threatens to kill Adam if he touches what’s his again, and orders him to leave. Adam acquiesces and runs away. Vincent rushes to comfort the listener, making sure they aren’t harmed and realizing that Adam’s Trance is still in place over them. He breaks the Trance, but finds himself struggling to maintain composure; the fight with Adam has provoked his primal instincts, and in the presence of the listener’s oddly appealing scent, he can’t properly keep them under control. He laments that they came looking for him, and notes that in his hunger, his eyes have surely gone black. He asks to feed from them, also clarifying that the act will officially mark them as his, preventing any future conflicts. They agree, and he feeds from their wrist, feeling that feeding from their neck would be too intimate, and that that should be something special, not something done here in desperation. The listener is left lightheaded after the feeding, and Vincent tells them to rest while he carries them home, promising to talk about it when they wake.
