OVERVIEW
Vincent greets the listener and asks how their appointment went. The listener confirms that it was a group meet-up of fellow Latents to talk to each other, and that it went well. They inquire about the smell, and Vincent states that it’s dinner; he’s been enjoying cooking again, and decided to make the listener dinner after their long day. The listener thanks him, then leaves to get changed before eating.
They return in a nice outfit, catching Vincent offguard by saying they see it as an opportunity for a date. He happily agrees.
They discuss their days, with Vincent mentioning that he had a phone meeting with his advisor in which he signed up for an accelerated History of Magic course over the abbreviated Winter semester. They both express excitement for the upcoming Spring semester; the listener has been observing an Energetic class to get a feel for it before taking the class themselves next semester. The listener asks to show Vincent what they’ve been practicing, and he excitedly agrees. They perform some small Electro-Energetic magic for him, impressing him.
Vincent mentions that he spoke to William earlier that day, in which his Maker asked to meet him later to discuss something that happened on Halloween. While Vincent believes it must have something to do with Sam, since it was his night to watch the park, William has assured him that it isn’t urgent, just important. Vincent discusses the rotation Clan members go through, taking turns watching the park at night, and confirms that he is only rarely asked to do it, making his original encounter with the listener a very unlikely but welcome coincidence. He expresses gratitude for having the listener in his life.
After some flirtations from both sides, Vincent reasserts how impressed he is with the listener’s newfound mastery of their powers and drive to learn. He admires it and them, and is excited to navigate their future together. They share a toast to that future.
The listener inquires about dessert, and Vincent suggests they go out for it. He insists that he can drive when the listener insinuates that he might not be able to, mentioning that the garage is full of cars. He tells them that, while it’s important he gets back in time for his meeting with William, they can go get dessert, taking whatever car the listener chooses, and they can drive them home if they want. They head out.

The events of Halloween 2020, in which Sam briefly encountered Quinn and became a Maker as a result, are alluded to here.
Vincent reveals that William took Wonderworld as part of his territory as part of a deal struck with the Department, though the details are not yet explained.
Vincent’s interest in cars is touched on for the first time, and his collection is first mentioned.
